The CC-9011205-WW marking convinces us that this is the white variation of the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB case, but there is also a black version in the brand’s assortment. The novelty definitely belongs to the premium class. And the point here is not only the cost of the iCUE 4000X RGB and the quality of the materials used, but also the statements of the developers that it is possible to assemble a “world-class PC” based on this device. These words sound ambitious, but Computer Part Picker personally was able to verify their plausibility. Let’s talk about this in more detail.
ICUE 4000X RGB Software:-
The iCUE Lighting Node CORE controller is installed in the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid-Tower case, so the lighting is controlled through the Corsair iCUE proprietary utility. Since the controller does not involve fan speed control, the available set of actions is relatively small: “Backlight settings”, where we indicate the type and number of fans on channel 1, select effects using the “Light channel 1” tab. It is possible to set a hardware backlight effect that will work without using the Corsair iCUE utility, and there is a separate Device Settings tab where you can check for firmware updates and set the brightness of the backlight.
Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Assembly:-
Assembly in Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB is very convenient. In the case of fans, everything is much more complicated, because it will not work to power them from the iCUE Lighting Node CORE module, there are simply no profile sockets on it (you will have to pull 3-pin / 4-pin wiring to the connectors on the motherboard).
The Rapid route cable management system is a very handy and useful gadget. Firstly, the figured plastic frame for wires is deep enough. Secondly, wide Velcro clamps are installed here (additional ones are included).
Space:-
For 3.5″ hard drives, the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB has a removable cage located in the standard location, that is, in the area for the power supply. But 2.5″ SSD can be mounted on two special pockets. They are placed either in their nominal position (that is, on the back side of the mounting frame) or on a casing that separates the PSU area from the main space.
It would seem that everything here is stuck butt, but, nevertheless, there are no problems with free space, and some components do not conflict with others. It’s impossible to take your eyes off the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB system. This is a true work of art (when turned on). The case looks especially impressive in the dark; it is in such a situation that you understand why there are so many glass parts in the case.
Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Lightening:-
Almost certainly, the creators of the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB should have equipped this model with a single button to control the backlight, but you can change the RGB lamp operation scenario only with the help of software that is downloaded from the official website (it is multifunctional, it has options for monitoring, fine-tuning compatible components etc.).
